Tamara Lowe - One Minute Sermon... VERY COOL!!!

Count down begins... 19 days!!!

So the countdown has officially begun - 19 days until best friends become husband and wife :) And it looks like we get to be house mates too! Go figure.

God has blessed us with the opportunity to rent a brand new two bedroom townhouse in Crace - YAY!

If all goes to plan we will go and have a look at it tomorrow and sign the papers the following Wednesday - just in time to move some furniture in, get married and have our first night in our new home together.

Besides that exciting news we have finished all of the order of services - thank goodness - and have everything else sorted out.

Now it is just a waiting game.  I am really looking forward to a relaxing family Christmas and quality time with my loved ones. 

God has been very good to Simon and I and we are both eager to see what our future together holds.

The journey continues ...

It is all happening... I am relieved to say that the bridesmaid dresses have both arrived as have their shoes and jewelery! As for me...I have my first dress fitting on Wednesday and hopefully all that will need altering is the hem...

Simon and I started marriage prep a fortnight ago and so far it is my favourite part of this whole wedding saga. It is so incredibly nice having an excuse to talk about us and God stuff - we have been completely worksheets and reflections during the week, meeting up to compare notes and talk about stuff and then meeting with our minister to go through our answers and talk about what we thought.  Our minister is awesome and it has been awesome just sitting with him, talking and discovering that we seem to be on the right track - YAY!!!

We have also begun the "marriage preparation course" by Nicki and Sila Lee... it is also wonderful! It is so funny listening to other couples talk about differences and quirks about one another which just happen to match exactly to things Simon and I have noticed in one another.  It is amazing what an impact growing up in different families with different habits and mannerisms has on the way two people communicate and expect to be communicated with. 

I guess to sum up, we have relieved to see that we are a relatively "normal" couple - working on things, moving towards and learning more about how to live for our Great and Powerful God.  He is awesome and the closer we get to our wedding the more we see how he has shaped our path so far and the more we learn to trust that he will continue to do so.

143 days =)

YAY! Ok so it's 143 days until we get married...I have just gone back to uni, gotten a new job and finally will get to see Simon two days a week =) YAY!

I have bought the AMAZING Tony Bianco shoes which I am seriously in love with  =) I have my veil and my dress is due to arrive in September...

I have had my wedding band made and am going in today to see it, then will send it up to Sydney to have the diamonds set, it is all very exciting.  Simon's ring arrived and I LOVE IT!

Basically, everything is very exciting.  I think the thing I am most looking forward to is just sharing the innane things of day to day life with my most favourite person in the world =)

172 days to go

Well Sami says that i should just write random stuff but i don't have random stuff to write. 

We bought my ring on Saturday the 18th of July so that makes it more real and ever so much closer i cant wait till we buy Sami's ring...looking forward to it all happening.

 

174 days...

So we now have 174 days left... I went shoe shopping with Mum and Sister/bridesmaid yesterday... found a GORGEOUS pair of Tony Bianco heels which I am most definitely in love with.

I am seriously struggling to buy accessories without having my dress with me...and am also having a wee stress attack about my dress...is it awful...is it this...is it that...

I've been told its normal, hopefully once it comes in and I try it on all will be well =)

But for now I cant decide whether just to buy shoes and jewelery to match the image of me in my dress that is in my head or whether I should wait and get them closer...but these shoes are really really AMAZING!!!
